Josef "Jupp" Heynckes (born 9 May 1945) is a German retired professional footballer and manager. For the majority of his playing career he was a striker for Borussia Mönchengladbach, winning four Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal, and the UEFA Cup. He is the fourth-highest goalscorer in Bundesliga history with 220 goals. As manager, he won four Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich and two UEFA Champions Leagues (with Real Madrid in 1997–98 and Bayern in 2012–13).

Heynckes scored 51 goals in 64 European club matches, averaging 0.8 goals per game, second only to Gerd Müller. He was joint top scorer in the 1972–73 UEFA Cup and top scorer in the 1974–75 UEFA Cup. He scored a hat-trick in the 1975 UEFA Cup final second leg against Twente. He is Borussia Mönchengladbach's top Bundesliga goalscorer with 195 goals.
